| Dear Pat and worker elves. I gave you four stars instead of five this time because the cost came in over estimate instead of under - the usual. I am otherwise completely happy with your work, both the result and the speed with which it was accomplished.Time will tell how long the new/old engine holds up but so far, so good. And as far as how we like Gulf Auto Clinic, hey, we keep coming back, don't we? |

| I brought my daughters car into the shop because of issues it was having idling. After start up it would sometimes run very rough. Gulf Coast diagnosed the problem as electrical and changed the alternator, plugs, and wires. This $400 job did not fix the problem. I took it back to them and they could not find the issue. They did suggest it might be some bad gas and to try some gas treatment and non ethanol gas. This fixed the problem, indeed, but after $400 in parts that did not need to be replaced. After this, I took my van in to fix an alignment issue I'm having. They suggested new plugs and wires again, along with a new lower ball joint. I decided to do the plugs and wires myself and have them fix the lower ball joint. Another $400. This not only did not fix my problem, but the outside tie rod joint was shot. This was on the same side that they replaced the lower ball joint, which in my opinion, should have been caught, since it was within 12 inches of where they were working anyways. So, $400 later I still have the exact same alignment issue I had when I brought it in there. I did speak with them about it and they asked me to bring it in, so they could try again, but I'm just not sure I trust them at this point. |

| I am really sorry I let them do an alignment on my car. When this old lady (me) I went in for an oil change,, my car would go perfectly straight on the road. After they worked on it, it pulls strongly to the right and I have had to drive 8 hours on a trip pulling my car back in line. The worst was their explanation when I took it back:.: The roads are built to crown in the center so there is a natural pulling to the side! Inexcuseable! After years as a client, no more! |
